PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN EDUTAINMENT PADA MATERI ARITMATIKA SOSIAL DI KELAS VII SMP
Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah menghasilkan media pembelajaran edutainment pada materi aritmatika sosial di kelas VII SMP. Media pembelajarandiperlukan oleh peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika karena karakteristik matematika yang abstrak. Visualisasi merupakan salah satu cara yang yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengkongkritkan sesuatu yang abstrak. Perkembangan teknologi dan informasi berdampak pada berkembangnya visualisasi dalam bentuk animasi dan suara. Media edutainment merupakan media yang dikembangkan dengan Macromedia Flash 8 dan diharapkan dapat membuat pembelajaran matematika menjadi lebih menyenangkan karena unsur gambar, animasi dan suara. Model pengembangan media ini mengacu pada model ASSURE yang dikembangkan oleh Sharon Smaldino, Robert Henich, James Russel, dan Michael Molend. Uji coba terbatas dilaksanakan di kelas VII-A SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gresik dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 24 yang terdiri dari 11 laki-laki dan 13 perempuan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes, angket dan pengamatan sedangkan instrument dalam penelitian ini adalah 1). Lembar angket gaya belajar peserta didik, 2). Lembar angket respon peserta didik, 3). Lembar angket kepraktisan media, 4). Lembar validitas media, 5). Soal tes, 6).Lembar pengamatan aktifitas peserta didik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan persentase akhir dari validator sebesar 82,6%, artinya media tersebut dikatakan sangat valid. Penilaian secara umum validator didapatkan bahwa media pembelajaran edutainment termasuk praktis. Dari hasil uji coba terbatas yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa media edutainment efektif karena telah memenuhi 3(tiga) kriteria yang ditetapkan. Demikian desain media pembelajaran edutainment yang dihasilkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif sehingga layak untuk digunakan.
