PENGARUH TEKNIK SCAFFOLDING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PESERTA DIDIK DALAM MEMECAHKAN MASALAH MATEMATIKADI KELAS VII SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 4 KEBOMAS
Abstract
Di dalam proses pembelajaran, masih banyak ditemukan peserta didik yang mengalami
kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Salah satu teknik pembelajaran yang dapat
membantu mengatasi kesulitan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika adalah
teknik pembelajaran scaffolding. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada
pengaruh Teknik Scaffolding terhadap kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah
matematika di kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan desain penelitian Posttest-Only Control
Design yaitu membandingkan nilai posttest kelas eksperimen dengan nilai posttest kelas
kontrol untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh teknik scaffolding terhadap kemampuan
peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah matematika di kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 4
Kebomas. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP
Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas yang terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VII A yang terdiri dari 30
peserta didik dan kelas VII B yang terdiri dari 29 peserta didik. instrumen penelitian yang
digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika berbentuk soal uraian.
Berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan uji t dua sampel independen (Independent Sample t
Test) diperoleh nilai sig = 0,033 < 0,05 , maka H0 ditolak sehingga dapat disimpulkan nilai
posttest kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari pada nilai posttest kelas kontrol, artinya ada pengaruh
teknik scaffolding terhadap kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah matematika
di kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas.
