Abstract

Sustainable village development requires a synergy between the availability of accurate spatial data and robust infrastructure planning. Kambingan Village, located in Cerme District, Gresik Regency, has long faced challenges due to the lack of integrated infrastructure mapping and the threat of land degradation in the Dusun Karangan pond area caused by water abrasion and heavy vehicle loads. Through this Thematic KKN program, Civil Engineering students initiated an infrastructure optimization program that integrates village asset inventory with the preparation of comprehensive technical planning documents. The methodology employed a mixed-method approach, combining structured field surveys, participatory mapping with village officials, and digital cartographic visualization using Google Earth and AutoCAD 2026 software. These activities resulted in a spatial information system in the form of a Village Building Infrastructure Map, visualizing the distribution of educational, healthcare, and religious facilities, as well as the road networks in Dusun Kambingan and Dusun Karangan to support transparent regional governance. Concurrently, a Detail Engineering Design (DED) document was developed for the reconstruction of a 21.3-meter-long Soil Retaining Wall. The technical planning includes the use of ø 120 mm bamboo pile foundation reinforcement at a depth of 2 meters for soft soil stability and the use of 350 MPa grade reinforced concrete to ensure long-term structural resistance against pond abrasion. The results of this service conclude that strengthening spatial databases and technical standardization are crucial steps in disaster mitigation and evidence-based village development planning.
