MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR BAHASA INGGRIS SISWA MELALUI GAME "KATAK" DI WORDWALL DENGAN METODE “TAPOK”

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in English subjects with the help of wordwall media and the Tapok (group) method at SDN 6 Gresik. This research uses the classroom action research method with 32 class IIIC students as the subject. Data was collected using observation and written tests. Data is processed using the comparison method, namely comparing student learning outcomes before the action and after the action. Based on the results of observations, students are indeed less interested in learning foreign language vocabulary, especially English. Apart from that, monotonous learning also adds to the lack of motivation for students. Students do not feel confident to demonstrate their vocabulary knowledge abilities. . Therefore, it is necessary to use appropriate media and learning methods to increase student motivation, self-confidence and learning outcomes.  From the results of research that has been carried out, there is an increase in learning outcomes in the pre-cycle period to cycle I. However, it is not yet significant. So it continues to cycle II, to achieve the value of completeness.
