Indonesian is an important subject at the Elementary School level because Indonesian is the unifying language and the national language in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia which has a very dominant function in all aspects of community life. However, in reality, the motivation to learn Indonesian among students often decreases. This is caused by various factors, such as lack of interest, monotonous learning methods, and lack of active involvement of students in the learning process. One way to overcome this problem is to apply a learning model that can increase student interaction and participation. The cooperative learning model is one alternative that has been proven effective in increasing student motivation and learning outcomes. The author uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design with 2 implementation cycles. Student learning outcomes have increased classically, namely with an average score of 84.5 with 27 people or 90% of students whose scores are above 75. Compared to cycle I which was only 70 with 16 people or 54% who completed, cycle II experienced a fairly good increase of 14.5%. So from the data that has been analyzed, the cycle II research has achieved the target classically even though there are 3 students who have not completed it, but the scores obtained in cycle II have increased higher.
