Salah satu fenomena hambatan sosial pada anak-anak adalah kekerasan, dan kasus kekerasan yang marak terjadi yakni perilaku bullying. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas pelatihan empati untuk meningkatkan empati siswa pelaku bullying, melihat hubungan antara peningkatan empati dengan penurunan perilaku bullying, Menguji perbedaan tingkat empati setelah pelatihan empati, dan melihat penurunan perilaku bullying pada siswa pelaku bullying. Metode penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperiment PrePost Test One Group Design. Subjek dalam penelitian quasi eksperimen ini berjumlah 8. Penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala empati yang dibuat berdasarkan aspek empati milik Davis, dan skala bullying yang dibuat berdasarkan unsur bullying menurut Olweus. Analisa data menggunakan Mann Whitney dan Spearman Brown. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Mann Whitney hasil uji efektivitas pelatihan empati terhadap peningkatan empati menunjukkan hasil nilai Z -2366 dan nilai p=0.018 (p<0.05) hasil tersebut menunjukan pelatihan empati efektif terhadap peningkatan empati. Uji Korelasi Peningkatan Empati dengan Penurunan Bullying Siswa Kelas IV dan V menunjukan nilai Correlation Coefficient -0.012 dan nilai p= 0,977 artinya p=0.000(p>0.05) hasil tersebut menunjukan tidak ada korelasi antara peningkatan empati dengan penurunan bullying. Hasil uji perbedaan empati siswa kelas IV dan V menunjukkan hasil nilai Z -.607, dan nilai p=0.544 (p>0.05) artinya tidak ada perbedaan empati yang signifikan. Hasil uji penurunan bullying siswa kelas IV dan V menunjukkan hasil nilai Z -2.084, dan nilai p=0.037 (p<0.05) di mana hasil tersebut menunjukan terjadi penurunan bullying yang signifikan. Abstract


One of social barrier phenomena happened to children is violence, and what mostly happened is bullying behavior. The research is aimed to examine the effectiveness of empathy training in improving the empathy feeling for the students as the bullies, to observe the correlation between the improvement of empathy feeling and the declining of bullying behavior, to examine the difference between the empathy level after the empathy training, and to observe the declining of bullying behavior toward the students as the bullies. The method of the research is Quasi Experiment Pre-Post Test One Group Design. The number of the subject in this quasi eperiment research is 8. This research were using purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in the research is empathy scale which is made based on bullying component according to Olweus. The data in the research is analyzed by using Mann Whitney and Spearman Brown’s formula. Based on the result of Mann Whitney analysis, the result on effectiveness test of empathy training toward the improvement of empathy feeling show that the value are Z -2366 and p=0.018 (p<0.05). The result shows that empathy training is effective toward the improvement of empathy feeling. Correlation test on the improvement of empathy feeling and the declining of bullying behavior of students in 4th and 5th grade show that the value of Correlation Coefficient are -0.012 and p= 0,977 it means p=0.000(p>0.05). The result shows that there is no correlation between the improvement of empathy feeling and the declining of bullying behavior. The result of the difference on empathy feeling of students in 4th and 5th grade show the value as much as Z -.607, and the value of p=0.544 (p>0.05), there is no significant difference of empathy. The result of the declining of bullying behavior test of  students in 4th and 5th grade show the value of Z -2.084, and the value p=0.037 (p<0.05).
