Abstract

The Internship Registration and Monitoring Information System is an essential component in supporting structured, transparent, and efficient internship administration. PT PLN (Persero) UIP3B Sumatera UPT Palembang regularly accepts internship participants from various higher education institutions; however, the processes of registration, attendance recording, activity reporting, and participant monitoring are still conducted manually and separately. This condition leads to several issues, including delays in document verification, difficulties for supervisors in monitoring participant activities, potential data recording errors, and low levels of information transparency for interns. This study aims to design a web-based Internship Registration and Monitoring Information System that is capable of integrating all internship administrative processes in a centralized manner. The system development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which emphasizes fast and iterative system development while actively involving users through the stages of requirement planning, RAD design workshops, and implementation. The designed system provides features such as online internship registration, participant verification, digital attendance recording, daily activity reporting, supervisor monitoring, final evaluation, and internship certificate issuance. The results of this system design are expected to improve data management efficiency, simplify the internship activity monitoring process, and enhance information transparency for both participants and supervisors. Therefore, the proposed information system is expected to serve as an effective solution in supporting more efficient and well-structured internship management at PT PLN (Persero) UIP3B Sumatera UPT Palembang
