The development of science and technology creates opportunities to improve human life while raising questions about the sources, purposes, and responsibilities associated with knowledge. In Islamic scholarship, these questions concern how Qur’anic guidance can be related to rational and empirical inquiry without treating revelation as equivalent to scientific methods of verification. This article examines the conceptual foundations of Qur’an–science integration and its relevance to the development of an Islamic scientific paradigm in the modern era. It employs library research with a descriptive-analytical approach. Literature on Islamic epistemology, knowledge integration, and scientific exegesis is reviewed thematically and compared to identify key principles, opportunities, and limitations. The discussion indicates that integration can be developed through three principles: tawhid as a worldview, dialogue between qauliyah and kauniyah signs, and ethical responsibility in the application of knowledge. Integration should not mean forcing every scientific discovery into Qur’anic verses; rather, it should involve critical dialogue that respects interpretive context and scientific verification. Such a paradigm can support knowledge that is rational, open to evidence, oriented toward public benefit, and morally responsible.
