Abstract

Mojoasem Village is a village located in Sidayu sub-district where the majority of residents work in the fisheries sector, both aquaculture and capture fisheries. The low level of public awareness of waste is also a serious problem that causes plastic waste to become uncontrollable. One way to overcome this problem is to make efforts to recycle plastic waste. This plastic bottle can be used as a valuable value, one of which is as a planting medium. Hydroponics is a farming system without using soil as a growing medium, but using discuss or nutrient solutions that help plant growth. using used bottles as a medium for growing plants and utilizing narrow land in Mojoasem Village. This is in line with Damayanti and Supriyatin's statement (2020) Used bottles can be used as hydroponic farming containers so as to reduce the accumulation of waste in the surrounding environment. This wick system hydroponic cultivation activity was chosen because it was to increase the insight into the knowledge and skills of the people of Mojoasem village in utilizing used bottles into hydroponic planting media. Providing insight into agricultural knowledge and skills by cultivating hydroponic vegetables using used bottles to the people of Mojoasem Village, Sidayu District, Gresik Regency.
