Laba Pedagang Pasar Tradisional Di Balongpanggang Gresik Dalam Menghadapi Pedagang Online

Abstract

Background - This study aims to determinethe profit of traditional market traders in Balongpanggang Gresik in dealing with online traders. The sources of my research are the head of thetraditional market, and three (3) traders who are experiencing trade competition with online traders in increasingtheir profits. This researchis a qualitative research using primary data type, and this research uses interview technique method. The results of this study indicate that the profits of traditional market traders have decreased due to the increasing number of competition in trading, one of which is competition with online traders. However, traditional market traders still have to survive with the competition with online traders in increasing profit to meet their daily needs.
Objectives – This study aims to find out how Balongpanggang traditional market traders survive in the face of online traders, find out how to stabilize the profits of traditional market traders in the midst of  the wide spreads of online traders in Balongpanggang village, know the strategies of Balongpanggang traditional market traders in increasing profits.
Design/Methodology/Approach – This research is a qualitative research with techniquesdata collection using interviews
Findings - The results of this study indicate that the profits of traditional market traders have decreased due to the increasing number of competition in trading, one of which is competition with online traders. However, traditional market traders still have to survive with the competition with online traders in increasing profit to meet their daily needs.
Research Implications – This research can be used as a reference for  traders, especially traditional market traders, to find out how traditional market traders can survive, stabilize profits, and strategies to increase profits.
Research Limitations - The research carried out by researchers has limitations, namely this research only focuses on traditional market traders in Balongpanggang Gresik, so researchers can only get data from traditional market traders informants, besides that the number of informants taken is that this study uses a number of informants who only 3 informants, of course, still not enough to describe the real situation.
