Implementasi Pengembangan Promosi Wisata Sejarah melalui Video Digital pada Museum Taman Wisata Kerajaan Sriwijaya

The Sriwijaya Kingdom Tourism Park Museum (TWKS) in Palembang holds significant historical and cultural value, yet its visitor numbers remain low due to the lack of an effective promotional strategy. This community engagement activity aims to assist museum management in enhancing tourist attraction through the development of a digital promotional video. The partner in this program is the TWKS management, which requires innovative media to reach a wider audience. The method includes observation, content design using the ADDIE model, video production, and implementation through social media platforms. The results show that the five-minute promotional video featuring historical narratives, spatial layouts, and museum collections was perceived as attractive by visitors and increased their interest to visit. The museum management gained tangible benefits as the promotion became more effective, easily accessible, and successfully reached younger audiences. This activity demonstrates that digital video utilization as a promotional strategy can strengthen the image of historical tourism destinations while supporting cultural preservation. The outcomes of this program are significant as they can serve as a model for promoting other historical destinations in Indonesia.
