This study aims to analyze the efficiency of distribution costs after the implementation of Third Party Logistics (3PL) at PT. Semen Indonesia Distributor (SID). This study is motivated by the high logistics costs in Indonesia and the limited empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of 3PL implementation in cement distribution companies. The study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation in the form of a general ledger from the SIWASAP system. The research objects include the Jombang, Kediri, and Legundi Branches by comparing conditions one year before and one year after the implementation of 3PL. Analysis was conducted on internal distribution cost components consisting of driver salaries, loading and unloading labor costs, and driver travel allowances. The results show that the implementation of 3PL significantly increases distribution cost efficiency with an average efficiency of 72.09% or a cost reduction of Rp. 2,818,174,366. In addition to providing cost savings, the implementation of 3PL also improves distribution time efficiency and service quality to customers. Thus, the implementation of 3PL is proven to be an effective strategy in improving distribution performance and can be used as a reference for companies in making logistics decisions.
