About the Journal

Indonesian Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Journal (INATESOL JOURNAL) is published by Master's Program in English Language Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik which focusing on teaching and learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and as a Second Language (ESL), aims to publish articles dealing with both practical and theoretical topics on English Language Teaching and Learning. INATESOL journal is published twice a year in Pebruary and September.

INATESOL JOURNAL encourages any authors to submit their articles that have never been published elsewhere. Please notice and download the requirements or the guidelines for the article contributors, template, and statement of originality on the websites.

The focus of this journal is to accommodate the professional researchers on teaching and learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and as a Second Language (ESL) who attend to publish their works. Authors who publish in this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed and allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.

Peer Review Process

INATESOL employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Initially, each manuscript undergoes a desk review by the journal editor or associate editor to ensure it meets the journal's formatting and scope requirements. Once approved, the manuscript is assigned to at least two peer reviewers for evaluation. Peer reviewers are selected with careful consideration given to matching reviewers' expertise with the manuscript's subject matter. To maintain anonymity, all feedback provided to authors is anonymized. Notably, editors do not review the content of the articles themselves but ensure compliance with submission standards. The Editor shall inform the results of the review as soon as possible, possibly in 6 to 8 weeks.

Article Processing/Submission Charges

The INATESOL Journal does not impose any article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees.
