Tamaddun: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pemikiran Keagamaan is committed to ensuring that every published article is properly archived and remains permanently accessible to readers, researchers, and the general public. This policy explains how the journal archives and preserves published content, as well as how authors can deposit their works in other repositories.

1. Journal Archiving and Digital Preservation
All articles published in Tamaddun: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pemikiran Keagamaan are stored electronically and preserved through the following layers of storage:

- Journal Website. All issues and articles, from the first volume to the latest issue, are available in full text on the journal’s Archive page. This journal is managed using Open Journal Systems (OJS), while its server is maintained by Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik.

- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). Journal content is preserved through the PKP Preservation Network, a LOCKSS-based system that stores copies of content across various distributed archives. If the journal ceases publication or its website is no longer available, the published content will remain accessible.

- Digital Object Identifier (DOI). Each article is assigned a DOI through Crossref. A DOI provides a permanent identifier and a stable link for the article, ensuring that it can still be found even if the website address changes.

- Indexing and National Repositories. Article metadata and full texts are also available through indexing and search services such as Garuda, Google Scholar, Dimensions, Indonesia OneSearch, and WorldCat.

- Internal Backups. The journal’s servers are backed up regularly so that articles, metadata, and editorial records can be restored in the event of technical issues.

2. Author Self-Archiving Policy
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), and authors retain copyright over their works. Therefore, authors may deposit their articles in other repositories without needing to request permission from the journal and without an embargo period.

Authors may deposit their articles in various locations, such as:
- The institutional repository of the author’s affiliated institution.
- National repositories, such as Garuda or the Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik repository.
- Discipline-specific repositories, such as SSRN.
- Academic profiles, such as Google Scholar, SINTA, ORCID, ResearchGate, or Academia.edu.
- Personal or institutional websites.

When archiving an article, authors are required to:
- Include a citation of the original publication in the Bina Mulia Hukum Journal, including the volume, issue number, year, and page numbers.
- Include the article’s DOI link.
- State that the article is licensed under CC BY 4.0.

For pre-publication manuscripts that are subsequently accepted for publication, authors are advised to update their entries in the repository by adding a link to the published version.

3. Archiving and Record Keeping
The journal maintains electronic records of the editorial and peer-review processes, including submitted manuscripts, review reports, correspondence, and editorial decisions. These records support accountability and enable the journal to respond to questions or issues that arise after publication. All such records are kept confidential and are not published.
