A Pengaruh Literasi Keuangan, Efikasi Keuangan Dan Demografi Terhadap Minat Investasi Pasar Modal Pada Mahasiswa Prodi Manajemen Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik

Abstract

Background – Along with globalization, economic conditions have experienced rapid development and
progress. Capital markets play an important role in supporting a country's economy because they have two
functions,namely economic and financial functions.
Objective – The purpose of this study isto analyzetheinfluence offinancialliteracy, financial efficacy, and
demographics on the interest in capital market investment among students of the Management Study
Program at Muhammadiyah University Gresik.
Design / Methodology / Approach – In this study, the sampling technique used probability sampling
with simple random sampling or random sampling. This research method used a questionnaire to collect
data because the type and source of data used was primary data. The analysis technique used linear
regressiondata and t-tests.
Findings – The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive influence between the
variables of financial literacy, financial efficacy, and demographic factors on the interest in capital market
investment among students of the Management Study Program at Muhammadiyah University Gresik.
Research Implication – This shows that the better the financial literacy and financial efficacy of students,
the greater their interest in investment.
Limitations – In addition, demographic factors are also important supporting factors related to the
circumstances and attitudes of students or business people.
