Abstract

Purpose – This community service activity aims to implement the Excel Automated SKDR Analytics Template to accelerate weekly EWARS data processing and generate local epidemiological analysis for hospital management.

Design/methodology/approach The technology transfer method was conducted through an intensive 3-hour hands-on training and direct mentoring session for surveillance officers at the PICU workstation of RSUD Simpang Lima Gumul on June 25, 2026.

Findings – The activity achieved significant time efficiency in routine reporting. Manual data rekapitulation that previously required over 2 hours was successfully reduced to only 15 minutes. This automated dashboard instantly converts raw EWARS numbers from the first 20 weeks of 2026 into automated tables and visual trend graphs, which are sensitive in capturing collective disease anomalies and displaying single critical case warning signals into three status categories: alert, nihil, and safe.

Originality/value – This activity provides a zero-cost automation spreadsheet solution that effectively reduces administrative data processing burdens without disrupting the primary duty of nursing officers caring for critically ill pediatric patients in the intensive care unit.
