This community service program aims to enhance financial literacy and economic independence among small and micro enterprises (SMEs) producing woven sarongs in Wedani Village, Cerme Gresik. Financial literacy is an essential competency required by business actors to ensure sustainability and business development, particularly within traditional craft industries that face increasing market competition and changing economic dynamics. The program was carried out through a full-day direct socialization activity, consisting of material presentations, hands-on practice in financial recordkeeping, cost-of-production calculations, and interactive discussions. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of basic financial literacy concepts, the importance of separating personal and business finances, and their ability to prepare simple financial records. In addition, the activity fostered greater economic independence, demonstrated by participants’ improved awareness of business planning, capital management, and independent marketing strategies. Participants reported that the program was highly beneficial in addressing financial challenges that had previously hindered business development. Overall, this community service initiative contributed positively to strengthening the capacity of woven-sarong SMEs and supporting the sustainability of local, culturally based economic development in Wedani Village.
