Fleksibilitas Kognitif Dan Spiritualitas Terhadap Toleransi Distres

Toleransi distress memampukan individu untuk bertahan dan toleran terhadap ketidaknyamanan dan kondisi emosi negatif, kondisi fisik serta stimulus aversif atau ancaman yang jika tidak ditangani dapat menyebabkan masalah psikologis yang lebih berat. Partisipan terdiri atas seratus delapan orang berusia 17 – 34 tahun, tingkat pendidikan SMA - S1. Skala toleransi distres, fleksibilitas kognitif, dan spiritualitas digunakan dalam studi ini dengan analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil menunjukkan fleksibilitas kognitif dan spiritualitas berperan signifikan secara simultan terhadap toleransi distress (p<.05) sebesar 34.6%. Secara parsial, hanya fleksibilitas kognitif yang berperan signifikan. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa fleksibilitas kognitif dan spiritualitas dapat mejadi prediktor secara bersama terhadap toleransi distress pada sampel dewasa awal. Studi lanjutan dapat dilakukan dengan mempertimbangakan prediktor lain yang tidak digunakan dalam penelitian ini, serta variasi usia partisipan yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian.
