Persepsi Terhadap Satwa sebagai Karakter Resilien pada Perawat Satwa (Studi Deskriptif di Lembaga Konservasi X Surabaya)

Abstract

Animal keeper at the Surabaya X Conservation Institute have become high-risk jobs due to dealing with dangerous animals. High-risk job is one source of stress at work. Prolonged stressors that are not managed was become a reason to resign. In the other hand, animal keeper at the X Surabaya Conservation Institute have worked for more than 5 years on average. This study aims to describe the perception of animals in animal keeper using descriptive quantitative methods. All 35 animal keepers from Surabaya Conservation Institute were involved in this study. Research data is illustrated through pie charts and table. The results showed that 80% of animal keepers has a good perception of animals. Good perception of animals is one of the resilience characters possessed by animal keeper at work, so they continue to carry out their duties and responsibilities within high-risk job.
